Did not see this coming. Diggy and J. Cole exchange shots. Here is the story…

J. Cole took a few jabs at Diggy on the track, “Grew Up Fast” (below)

“You niggas is not Russell , you more Diggy me, I’m more Biggie, No diss to the young boy, I’m just rapping, get bored quickly”

Then Cole shouts out Diggy’s sister… “What up Vanessa, I loved you that one semester.” Cole also subliminally mentioned one of Diggy’s sister in his previous track “Purple Rain” (Diggy references this in his diss track) also.

Diggy feeling insulted, decided to grow some balls, and let loose his comeback, which is titled, “What You Say to Me.” (below)

Who dat, who dat, you know who it is, heard you lying on my sis, tellin’ people that you hit. Diggy goes on to say…

“Little nigga think he cold, think he live like me Jetsetter, trendsetter, nah you not like me. Can’t find a girl you know that do not like me. I can’t find a girl I know that know you, you local. Wasn’t even poppin’ in the school you used to go to. Got aight lyrics, but can’t deliver your vocals … Only thing you hittin’ in the morning is your hand up, stand up, matter fact, sit down, don’t try to call Hovi Hov for a sit down”

Personally, I think this is career suicide for Diggy, I mean, he will get slayed by J. Cole, but let him do him. J. Cole has been adding more names to his enemy list. First it was Canibus, then more recently, Charles Hamilton, and now Diggy. I think it is safe to say that Gang Starr’s famous line from “Moment of Truth” is more relevant than ever, “They say itt’s lonely at the top, in whatever you do, you always gotta watch motherfuckers around you.” But I don’t think Diggy is trying to come at Cole as much as he is trying to scrap up a few extra record sales after he managed to move only 21k copies of his album, Unexpected Arrival. We will just have to wait and see what happens.
